Don't forget to remove the lock button (already removed in the pic above). The lock button removes by pulling outward (toward the inside of the car) on the forward edge and then pulling the rearward part off. It justs snaps over the lock rod. See that part of the lock rod that is sticking out at 90º? That goes into the protruding part of the lock knob. If you don't pull the front off first, you will get it off, but you might end up with two pieces instead of one!
